Several histories are a little sketchy as the completion of the Regimental War Diary was hardly a priority. We would appreciate any information that anyone has that may put a bit more meat on the bones. It would be a shame for these units to become just another footnote in history.

Nos. 11 to 18 Air Formation Signals were formed to support RAF units involved in Operation Overlord, the D-Day invasion that took place on June 6th, 1944. Allied aircraft started to operate from airstrips in France from June 9th.
