THE ROLE OF AIR FORMATION SIGNAL REGIMENTS
FROM SEPTEMBER 1959

Following a 'rationalisation' of the role of the Royal Signals during the 1950's Air Formation Signals became leaner and has continued to do so until the reforming of 22 Signal Regiment the only Signals Regiment left with a combined Air Formation and Air Support role was 21 Signal Regiment.
