The Association has created an 'Air Formation Signals Crescent' at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire, as a focus for remembrance.
In early 2002, members of The Air Formation Signals Association proposed that an appeal be launched to create a living memorial within the National Memorial Arboretum to all who served in Air Formation Signals.
By January 2003 over £600 had been raised and negotiations with the director were opened to determine the form that the memorial shall take.
On Sunday, May 9th, 2004, members attended a service where a crescent of nine copper beech trees was dedicated to the memory of all who served in Air Formation Signal units from 1917 to the present day.
On Saturday, May 12th, 2007 a tenth tree was planted and dedicated to all those who served in Air Support Signal Units.
On the same day the Association Standard was dedicated in the Millennium Chapel.
On Saturday, May 10th, 2008, the crescent was completed when a rock from the Blandford Camp roundabout, bearing a suitably inscribed plaque, was dedicated.
