2nd Air Formation Signals

 Supported the Advanced Air Striking Force in France, 1939-40. Returned to Hendon and then to North West Africa (Operation Torch), Sicily and Italy. Placed in suspended animation and resuscitated as 50th Air Formation Signal Regiment (SR). Still has an Air Formation Signals role as 81st Signal Squadron (TA).
