19th Air Formation Signals

Was formed in Kirkburton in November 1943. It moved to India (Comilla) where, in January 1945, it provided communications for the Combat Cargo Task Force, an RAF/USAF force responsible for supporting the Chindits and other forces in Burma. In July 1946 the unit moved to Singapore where it remained, supporting the Far East Air Force until November 1971.
